North Broward · Service area

Pressure washingin Parkland, FL.

Pure Clean Pressure Washing serves Parkland from its base in Coral Springs with all five services: soft washing, roof cleaning, paver sealing, window cleaning and driveway cleaning. Parkland is next door to the north. Heron Bay straddles the Coral Springs city line. Owner Michael Blockhus quotes and does every job himself, is fully insured, and gives free estimates.

The work here leans toward tile roofs, paver motor courts and lake-lot screen enclosures, because that is what the gated communities are built from, plus long drives and iron staining on the acreage streets.

Local conditions

Why do Parkland exteriors get dirty?

Parkland was chartered in 1963 on ranch land and zoned to keep a park-like character, and the Everglades form its western edge. The result is a newer city (the median home was built in 2006) where a lot of houses sit under tree canopy and back onto a lake or a preserve, so north walls, pool cages and paver joints stay damp long after a storm. In Pine Tree Estates, homes run on private wells, and well water with iron in it leaves orange bands wherever it hits a wall or a drive.

Mediterranean-style two-stories with barrel-tile roofs and paver motor courts in the gated communities, plus custom homes on one to three acres in Pine Tree Estates and The Ranches.

  • Canopy and lake lots

Parkland's zoning was written to keep it green, and the newer communities were planted to match. Shade plus a lake behind the house is the recipe for green algae on the north wall and black mildew in the corners of the screen enclosure. On a lot of Parkland homes the pool cage faces the water and is the biggest single surface on the property.

  • Paver motor courts and travertine

Heron Bay, Parkland Bay, MiraLago and Watercrest are built around paver drives, courtyard entries and paver or travertine pool decks. Pavers under trees collect leaf tannin on the face and algae in the joints, and every rainy season pulls unsealed sand out. That is why sealing matters more on a Parkland lot than on an older poured-concrete street.

  • Four water providers, and wells

Depending on the street, Parkland water comes from the North Springs Improvement District, Parkland Utilities, Coconut Creek Utilities or Broward County. Pine Tree Estates is on private wells and septic, on lots of one to three acres. Well water with iron is the usual cause of the orange stripe along a driveway or up a garden wall, and on acreage the drive alone can be the biggest part of the job.

From the truck

Parkland is the next town up from Coral Springs, and Heron Bay even crosses the city line. A Parkland quote is a short drive up University Drive, which means Michael can look at the house in person before he gives you a number.

How a job goes

Three steps, one guy.

No dispatcher, no rotating crew. The number you call is Michael Blockhus’s, and he is the one who shows up in Parkland.

  1. 01

Send photos or book a look

Text a few photos to (954) 507-7249 or ask Michael to come and look at the house in Parkland. You get a number, not a range, and the estimate is free.

  2. 02

    He does the job himself

The person who quoted it shows up with the truck. Soft wash on stucco, screens and roofs, where pressure would do damage; surface cleaner on concrete and pavers, where it earns its keep.

  3. 03

    You walk it together

Before the truck leaves you look at the work together. If something got missed, it gets done then, not on a callback.

Questions

Parkland questions.

Is Pure Clean based in Parkland?

No. Pure Clean is based next door in Coral Springs, and Parkland is part of the regular service area. There is no Parkland office. Michael drives up from Coral Springs, looks at the house, quotes it, and does the work himself.

Which parts of Parkland do you cover?

All of it, across 33067, 33073 and 33076: Heron Bay, Parkland Golf & Country Club, MiraLago, Parkland Bay, Watercrest and Parkland Isles, and the acreage in Pine Tree Estates and The Ranches. West Boca, just over the county line, is covered too.

How often should a Parkland house be soft washed?

Most homes here go twelve to eighteen months between washes. A lake lot or a house under heavy canopy runs shorter, because the north wall and the pool cage never fully dry out. A sunny lot with nothing behind it can stretch toward two years.

Do you work inside gated communities like Heron Bay and Parkland Bay?

Yes. Add Michael to your guest list or leave his name at the gate. If your association asks vendors for proof of insurance before work starts, mention it when you ask for the quote so it is sorted before the day. Pure Clean is fully insured.

My sprinklers leave orange stains. Can you get them off?

Usually, yes. Orange bands on walls, walks and drives are iron, and they are most common on Parkland properties that irrigate from a private well, like much of Pine Tree Estates. Iron needs a dedicated rust remover, not more pressure, and it is included when it is part of the job. An iron filter or re-aimed sprinkler heads is what stops it coming back.
