The story

From Cresco, Iowa to Coral Springs.

Michael Blockhus grew up in a town of four thousand people in northeast Iowa and wrestled his way out of it: three state titles, a 166-8 high school record, then three years starting for the Minnesota Gophers, a Big Ten final, and an NCAA All-American finish in 2023, eighth in the country at 149 pounds.

He gave up his last year of college eligibility to fight professionally. He won his Bellator debut by TKO and now trains at Kill Cliff FC in Deerfield Beach, one of the best gyms in the sport and fifteen minutes from most of the driveways on this site.

Pure Clean started in January 2024 because a fighter’s schedule leaves the middle of the day open and a fighter’s habits don’t switch off. The same person who answers the phone runs the surface cleaner, climbs the ladder, and walks the job with you when it’s done.

Do I need to be home?

No. Everything happens outside. Leave the gate unlocked, keep pets inside for the morning, and move cars off the driveway if that is what is being cleaned. Michael texts when he arrives and when he is done, and walks the job with you in person if you are there.

How do you quote a job?

Text a few photos to (954) 507-7249: the front of the house, the worst spot, and anything you want done. Most jobs get one number back from that. If the house needs a look in person, Michael comes by. Estimates are free and the number is the number, not a range.

Does my house need soft washing or pressure washing?

Both, usually. Walls, screens, roofs and anything painted get a soft wash, which kills the algae with a cleaning solution at low pressure. Driveways, pavers and pool decks get a pressure wash with a surface cleaner. Using pressure on stucco or a roof is how houses get damaged, so Pure Clean does not do it.

Is it safe for plants, pets and the pool?

Yes, with the prep that is part of every job. Plants under the work area are wet down with plain water before and rinsed after. Pets stay inside while the work is happening. The small amount of runoff that reaches a pool does nothing to it, and the deck gets rinsed.

How long does a job take?

A driveway is two to three hours. A one-story house wash is a morning; a two-story with a screen enclosure is a day. A roof is half a day. Paver sealing is two visits, because the pavers have to dry between the clean and the seal.

Who actually shows up?

Michael. Pure Clean is owner-operated, so the person who quotes the job is the one who does it and the one who answers the phone afterward. The company is fully insured.

Based in Coral Springs and working across northern Broward: Parkland, Coconut Creek, Margate, Tamarac, Sunrise, Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach, plus Boca Raton. If you are nearby and it is a real job, ask.
